Inchwood held up in last, shaken up 3f out and looking for space, squeezed through to go 2nd over 1f out, led just inside final furlong, driven clear
Reclamation held up in 3rd, ridden 3f out, wide bend 2f out, stayed on under pressure final furlong to take 2nd near finish
Leamington led, tried to kick on from 3f out, headed just inside final furlong, one pace and lost 2nd near finish
Flash Of Colour tracked leader, ridden over 2f out, not quicken and lost 2nd over 1f out, faded final furlong
Love And Glory held up in 4th, ridden and effort over 2f out, not quicken well over 1f out, weakened final furlong
INCHWOOD was held up at the back of the field as Leamington attempted to make all, and she was ridden along briefly coming down the hill when the leader quickened things up. She improved to challenge straightening for home, however, where there were four virtually in line briefly, and having nudged Flash Of Colour out of the way she took it up just inside the final furlong and came away for a decisive win.
Her Newbury second to Warringah looked decent form, and this longer trip suited her well. Indeed she will stay further and could be the type for something like York's Melrose Handicap, although on turf she evidently needs it no quicker than good.
Leamington dictated her own pace and tried to inject some extra pace on the run downhill, butshe was outpaced in the finishing straight.
Flash Of Colour was nicely backed but was put in his place after chasing the leader.
Love And Glory was in trouble on the inside on the home turn. It remains to be seen if he stays this trip.
