Coconut Moon very fast away, led for 150yds, 3rd when not much room over 2f out, switched right and rallied to lead 1f out, driven clear
Blessed Place rousted along to lead after 150yds, driven and joined 2f out, headed 1f out, no extra but held on for 2nd
Nusoor chased leading pair, went 2nd halfway and joined leader 2f out, upsides 1f out, soon beaten
Bertie Southstreet settled in midfield, never going pace of leaders, effort 2f out, kept on one pace final furlong, no danger
The Magic Blanket outpaced in last, kept on from over 1f out, no chance
Kindallachan chased leaders, outpaced when not much room over 2f out, no impression over 1f out, eased when beaten
Rocker raced wide in rear, always struggling to go the pace
Tous Les Deux always in last trio, struggling to stay in touch from halfway, never a factor
Fairfield Princess always outpaced in rear, never a factor
The six-year-old flew the gates, starting unbelievably quickly, but she was soon headed by the ultra-speedy Blessed Place and was then checked on the rail approaching the two-furlong marker. Pulled out with a renewed challenge in the straight, she came clear in the final furlong. Having won off 74 last year she was well treated off just 60, and she can win again.
BlessedPlace continues in great form but was no match for the well-treated and back-to-form winner.
Nusoor also came here in good form and helps give the race a solid look. He went second on the home turn but was put in his place again by the winner. He goes up 2lb at the weekend, so it is going to get more difficult for him. Nothing else ever got into it.
The Magic Blanket was outpaced.
Kindallachan, backed at long odds, was a bit more competitive, but she had been off the track eight months and the race did not really go her way.
George Baker reported Tous Les Deux hung right under pressure.
The vet reported The Magis Blanket was struck into in front.
