Optical Illusion tracked leaders, led entering final furlong, held on well
Imperial Sword prominent, led approaching final furlong to entering final furlong, kept on under pressure, held near finish
Orphan towards rear, headway over 1f out, kept on final furlong, not pace of first two
Mormeatmic led to approaching final furlong, kept on same pace
Botham behind and outpaced, headway over 1f out, never reached leaders
Maison Dieu in touch, effort over 1f out, edged right, soon no extra
Desert Hunter behind, driven and outpaced over 2f out, no danger after
Mill Creek chased leader until weakened over 1f out
Alexia Rose started very slowly, refused to race
OPTICAL ILLUSION, having his first run for Richard Fahey, raced in touch, and stayed on well in the last furlong. He is clearly effective at 6f, though has form over 7f, and may well progress a little more as he has come down to a fair mark.
Imperial Sword did well from his high draw, for he raced in touch, and only just lost out in a driving finish.
Mormeatmic made the running, and though he hasn't won for a long time, he's well handicapped now and will be interesting when he gets some give in the ground.
