Breaking smartly to bring them along at a sensible pace, he gradually had his chasing rivals in trouble after passing the two-furlong pole and he scored comfortably in the end. A handicap is next for the gelded son of Groom Dancer before he goes over jumps later in the year according to his trainer.
The 72-rated Knowing Wink was fitted with first-time blinkers for her sixth career start and she proved best of the rest when keeping on under pressure in the straight encountering these faster conditions for the first time.
More About Tim may well have finished closer if handling the final bend in Ballinrobe last time. He hung left off the rail before getting the hang of things when they straightened for home that day and he attracted some support to go one better.Brosna Val missed the kick and raced towards the rear but she came home well stepping up to this longer journey and looks to be going the right way. She might appreciate a little further on this evidence.
Rolling Mist was another to improve on her previous run on the all-weather while easy-to-back Art Sleuth probably needed the run after dropping away from a promising position. This was her first start in 218 days.[BF]
