Held up out the back, he travelled strongly to come through and lead afterthe second-last but didn't really go away from his rivals as he threatened to do, plus he jumped the final two fences well out to the left. He may well have had a lot left in the locker for all we know, but it possibly could have been a shade more convincing.
What's not in doubt is that Corlaan ran a good few pounds above his mark and may get a message from the handicapper. Chasing the leader most of the way, he was headed by the winner before two out and while he stuck to his guns well, he was pretty much outclassed.
Galway Legend set out to make all but was a spent force once giving way before the second-last.
Supreme Being was value for finishing a bit closer. Chasing the leaders most of the way, he came over to the stands' side in the straight, but any chance he had was ruined by a blunder at the second-last.
Corralroad was well behind when pulling up before three out.
