DANETIME LILY showed the benefit of her run at Sligo a fortnight ago and certainly appreciated the return to the minimum trip by registering victory here. Racing prominently in the centre of the track, she fought out a good battle with the runner-up from a furlong out, before prevailing close home. These conditions are her optimum, she's tough and consistent and would be capableof being competitive in a better grade under similar conditions.
Copper Dock lost nothing in defeat and was unlucky to come up against such an opponent this evening. Having chased the pace, he quickened to the front inside the final furlong, but was unable to shake off the winner. He's a very decent sprinter at this grade and should continue to pay his way.
Lilly Be wants fast ground to be seen at her best and ran her best race for some time here. Prominent throughout on the far side of thetrack, she kept on well when the first two quickened away and probably would be better over an extra furlong.
Emacolali was backed at big prices in the morning and only just failed to get into the money. Never able to get close enough to the lead in the centre of the track, he picked up well enough inside the last half-furlong and was never nearer. He wasn't disgraced at the Curragh last time when only beaten six lengths behind Subtle Shimmer, and might be suited by a returnto 6f.
Having impressed at Down Royal on Friday, He's Got Rhythm was disappointing on this occasion. He showed good speed in the centre to stands' side group, but once coming under pressure two furlongs out he could do no more than keep on at the same pace.
