Analyis of the race
Just five runners for this handicap hurdle in which BARNEY came back to hurdles on a 6lb higher mark than his chase one. Making most, he jumped quite big most of the way, and though he was sent clear going to three out, in the end he only just scrambled home. He goes well on fast ground and should continue to give a good account either over hurdles or in chases.
Spud can be keen, but he settled out the back, and came with a late run but just failed. He can find a race.
Temple Place didn't jump that well and was struggling from the home turn, and Pepperoni Pete dropped right out from three out.
