Somalia Road didn't object to stepping back up in trip. He made progress from mid-division to track the leaders with a circuit to go and stayed in the front rank from there. The winner just got a length on him turning in but he kept battling on and was trying to mount a challenge when making a mistake at the last. It probably didn't make the difference between victory and defeat, but he ran a good and gutsy race in defeat.
Leading or disputing for most of the journey was Hello Kitty. She stayed there until headed before the turn into the straight. She couldn't respond and just kept on at one pace.
Bridies First was held up early and was travelling well enough on the heels of the leaders when the first five tightened up three out, but couldn't find any extra from before the second last. [JOH]
