Born High was given a patient ride by Tom Doyle and had every chance. Making good progress before three out, he tracked the winner but couldn't quicken with him and basically couldn't live with him. There are handicaps to be won with him though and he should continue to progress with the stable horses in excellent form.
Laragh Hill was held up early and never was a factor really, but kept on strongly from between the final two flights without being any sort of danger to the winner.
Garrai Ard ran a fine race from the front and was unlucky not to get a small share of the prize money. At several stages over the final mile it looked likely that she would be swallowed up, but to her credit she battled on well until headed before the second last.
Joint-favourite Arondo was held up early and madequite significant progress before the turn into the straight to be just behind the leaders. He had come under pressure though and appeared to be just keeping on at one pace when falling two out. [JOH]
