Seymour Weld stole 8 lengths at start, made all in clear lead and jumped beautifully, shaken up before 3 out, soon drew right away

Zilcash mistake 4th and reminder, chased winner 5th, driven 11th, just losing 2nd when left with that position 3 out, found nil and soon lost touch with winner

Dhehdaah in rear trio, ridden 8th, lost touch and mistake 10th, left poor 3rd 3 out and plugged on

Orpen Wide always last, pushed along before 8th, soon struggling, plugged on flat

Chrysander chased winner until 5th, just regaining 2nd but 5 lengths down and starting to be pushed along when fell 3 out

Atticus Boy mistake 2nd, soon ridden and never going well in rear trio, jumped slowly 9th, struggling under pressure 11th, hampered next, pulled up after 2 out

An interesting novice, won convincingly from the front by SEYMOUR WELD. He was only a plater over hurdles, but had already shown himself better class over fences when making all here a fortnight ago. He again stole a handy lead at the start this time, and his bold jumping kept his pursuers on the stretch throughout. He is going to find things harder when he has to go handicapping, but for now, he should continue to prosper.

Zilcash, the best of the field over hurdles, was bidding to make it three wins from three runs over fences, but an early mistake did not help his chances and he was struggling to get to the leader from a long way out.

Chrysander looked to be travelling a bit better than Zilcash when he came down and would probably have finished second had he completed.
