Our Choice chased leader until led 5th, clear from 3 out, eased near finish
Tot Of The Knar led, jumped left from 4th, headed and mistake next, stayed on same pace from 3 out
Over Ice held up, headway to go remote 3rd 5th, never toubled leaders
Joint Reaction chased leaders, no chance from 4th, behind when jumped right next
So Extreme held up, raced keenly, behind from 4th
Cleric pulled hard, prominent to 4th
Ireland Dancer started slowly, blundered 1st, always behind
Tight Corner held up, always in rear, behind from 4th
Vesta Flame mid-division, not fluent 1st, behind when mistake 5th
Christalini held up, always in rear, behind from 4th
Gracefull Model behind from 3rd, tailed off when jumped right next two, pulled up before 3 out
He had managed to shed his maiden tag last time at Southwell and continued that improvement with a fluent success. Without wanting to take too much away from him, the favourite appeared to run well below form, so the handicapper would be harsh indeed if he got raised too much for this.
Tot Of The Knar, rated 21lb higher on official figures than the winner, went off in front and set a reasonable gallop. However, it was soon clear that she was not going that well and she relinquished the lead five from home. For a moment, it did look like she might get in another challenge, but it soon became obvious that she was hanging to her left up the home straight, indicating something may not have been totally right with her.
Nothing else deserves a mention because they posed no threat at any stage and are unlikely to do so in the near future.
