Classic Blade went right start, made all, kept on gamely, ridden out
Measurement tracked winner until over 3f out, soon ridden, kept on to regain 2nd entering final furlong but always held by winner
Northern Tour held up in close 5th, ridden 3f out, one pace final 2f
Young Dottie held up in close 4th, ridden over 2f out, kept on same pace
Agente Parmigiano took keen hold, tracked leaders, went 2nd over 3f out, ridden and every chance 2f out, weakened inside final furlong
His trainer Tom Dascombe said: "I was a bit worried about the ground because his action lends itself to the soft."
The Daggers Drawn colt hasn't looked back since a slightly disappointing debut run and followed-up his smart Doncaster win with another convincing effort. Making virtually all, he kept pulling out extra when pressed by Measurement and had the restwell strung out.
Measurement needed to raise his game at this level after scoring over the course and distance on his previous start. He probably did, but ran into a tartar in the impressive winner.
Agente Parmigiano proved a disappointing favourite. Too keen for his own good early doors, he'd burned up plenty of fuel so that there wasn't much left when he was asked to go and grab the winner. He looked a shadow of the colt who had hacked up at Yarmouth.
