Craigstown quickened pace to lead after 2f, ridden and hard pressed from 3f out, stayed on strongly to assert inside final furlong, ridden out
Special Reserve chased leaders, ridden to challenge from 3f out, every chance entering final furlong, no extra
Sinaaf held up in touch, ridden and effort 3f out, kept on same pace final 2f
Purely By Chance slowly into stride, soon pushed along in rear, ridden and steady progress from 3f out, stayed on
Chioroscuro slowly away, behind, some progress over 3f out, soon ridden, stayed on but never troubled leaders
Lobby chased leaders, ridden 3f out, weakened over 1f out
Kijani always towards rear
Age Of Miracles led for 2f, chased leader, struggling 4f out, soon behind
Special Reserve looked to have an ideal opportunity to endorse the promise of some near-misses in similar contests, having been out of his depth in handicap company on his previous start. He challenged the winner from 3f out to the distance by which time Craigstown had gained the upper hand.
To a certain extent the same remarks apply to Purely By Chance, but Lobby, close enough at halfway, went out very quickly.
