The only three-year-old in the field, he emerged from the pack to hound Hoh Hoh Hoh and grab that rival in the final stride, with Moore saying: "Pat Dobbs thinks he wants seven furlongs and we'll step him up to that distance next time."
Hoh Hoh Hoh looked sure to win entering the final furlong, having made the most of his advantageous draw near the fence. He has been accused of being a short runner at 6f, but you could not argue he did not stay. Having said that, he is a frustrating individual who is hard to win with.
Siren's Gift is another whose best form is at the minimum. However, she showed with this encouraging effort that sheis capable of picking up a decent sprint handicap, especially with her stable going so well.
Ashdown Express is running well for his new trainer and the veteran was only just out of the money, indicating he is getting close to ended a lengthy losing run.
Nota Bene was always in the same position throughout the final 2f, while Beaver Patrol was already in trouble when not getting a clear run more than 1f out. This could have come too soon after the Wokingham.
