Sweet Lightning not much room soon after start, steadied in midfield, closed over 3f out, led over 1f out, soon quickened clear, pushed out
Kiribati King held up, ridden and headway over 1f out, stayed on to take 2nd well inside final furlong, no chance with winner
Relative Strength held up in rear, under pressure from over 5f out, hung left from over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong, not pace to get competitive
Criterion soon led, ridden and headed over 1f out, soon edged left, one pace final furlong
London Times prominent, pushed along 4f out, pressed leader, ridden when still challenging over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Top Ticket tracked leaders, pushed along over 4f out, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Kiribati King was held up in fifth place for most of the trip and came powering through in the closing stages to find the winner had flown. He came out best in a blanket finish for minor honours.
Criterion was taken to the front early on and set a decent pace. He was still in front with just under two furlongs to run, but was quickly left behind by the winner and had nothing left in the closing stages.
