Wildcat Wizard took keen hold, tracked leaders on outer, edged right and led over 1f out, narrowly headed well inside final furlong, led post
Prime Spirit took keen hold, headway and switched left over 2f out, hard ridden edged right and took slight advantage 50yds out, headed post
Motor Home led, headed and slightly hampered over 1f out, one pace
Mister Green swerved left start, soon tracking leaders, not much room over 1f out, kept on same pace
Calley Ho tracked leaders, effort 3f out, outpaced over 1f out
Prime Spirit lost no caste in defeat. Having taken a furlong or two to settle into a relaxed rhythm, he was switched outside two furlongs out and produced a telling challenge inside the last, looking as though he got a nose in front, before being denied in a bobbing finish. The fact that the first two finished clear of the rest, was a good sign for the principals.
