MINWIR clearly appreciated the addition of a visor and dropping back in trip. He was winning at the tenth time of asking and looks an out-and-out sprinter, having not shone at a mile.
Swift Acclaim looks a pure speedster. She ran a strong race from up with the pace but was gasping for the line.
Bilboa ran a strange race. He did not look happy in behind, possibly because of the kickback, and he had plenty to do off the home turn as he ran wide. He started hanging left in the straight, but when he finally strode out, he was running them down fast in the final 100yds. He can build on this first all-weather experience and looks a winner in waiting.
If the rail run was slower than themidtrack line, then Fantasy Fighter deserves extra credit. He was very slowly away but made stealthy and strong headway up the shortest route. He flashed his tail under pressure in the final furlong but otherwise this was a promising handicap debut off his lowly mark.
Peas In A Pod was another who stayed nearer the inside, along with front-running Lady Florence, who was not disgraced despite weakening in the final furlong.
Lady Florence was reported to have missed the break by her rider.
Fantasy Fighter was reported to have been bumped at the start.
Gelert was reported not to have handled the bend.
