The placed horses give the form a solid look and MOON QUEST is sure to come on for this comeback run, having been reported to be unsound without a major injury, and given a break.
His run behind subsequent Group-race winner Hi Calypso, giving him 6lb, in the Bibury Cup at Salisbury on his last start suggested he had a Listed contest in him, and while he made heavy weather of this, he was always going to win up the straight. He looks the type to go well in one of the big handicaps at Goodwood and connections feel he can step back up to 1m4f.
Trans Siberian set a solid pace and battled on as usual, but his consistency costs him with the handicapper, who raised him a couple of pounds in defeat last time.
Rayhani ran well in a stronger handicap here in April but has not progressed over further in his turf runs since. Back in trip, he chased the two principals but hung in behind them when looking to be travelling just as well into the straight. He races off a higher mark than his last win over a year ago, but still looks capable of winning another decent prize this summer.
Bid For Glory ran better than the bare form suggests. He was bumped when still in the rear inside the last half-mile and was then short of running room off the home turn, but he stayed on when switched left.
Kay Gee Be trailed round and was noticeably taken wide to avoid the pack's kickback. He made a brief effort around the home bend but could never get competitive. While he is firmly in the handicapper's grasp, this was a second disappointing run here after he clearly enjoyed the faster track at Kempton.
