DEEP WINTER had hinted at this win when stepped up to this trip. However, she has done well to score here as she was stuck last before getting a dream run through against the inside rail. She drifted right under pressure in the straight but proved too strong for the weakening and wandering Tallest Peak, who was grabbed late for second by Rowan Dancer, who was struggling for pace fully five furlongs out and being put under the whip at the back. This says it all about the strength of the race.
The Willowy Wigeon was reported by his rider to be never travelling.
Istria was reported to have been squeezed out at the start.
Isabella's Fancy was reported to have hung left.
