Irving Place switched right after start, held up, headway on inside over 2f out, kept on, never near leaders

Earlsmedic took keen hold in midfield, not clear run over 2f out, kept on steadily final furlong

La Fortalesa mid-division, effort over 2f out, lost place over 1f out

Lady Benjamin chased leaders, lost place over 1f out

Baronovici took keen hold on outer, steadied, eased inside and dropped back 4f out, no chance after

Strictly Elsie dwelt, in rear and pushed along, never on terms

Berrymead tracked leaders, took keen hold, hung left, weakened 2f out, soon behind

Bertie Vista chased leaders on outer, lost place over 2f out

Shanafarahan dwelt, soon tracking leaders, hung ledft and lost place over 2f out, soon behind and eased

With his rivals boasting very little recent wining form, the market revolved largely around the top-weight Yamal who had won two of his four starts but he was never able to get near to BORASCO, who was sent into the lead from the off and never saw another rival, pulling away to win easily. Front-running looks to be the key to her and as long as the handicapper does not hit her hard for this, it would be no surprise to see her go close again if things work out.

Young Gladiator made headway with Yamal over a furlong out. He looks worth another try over this longer trip, although he again did not look the easiest of rides.

Earlsmedic has hinted that therecould be more to come in his runs that qualified him for a handicap mark. Although he was a bit keen early on, he looked like there may have been a bit left in the tank at the end. He could be one to keep a close eye on.
