CLASSIC REMARK was having just her fourth start here, and while she looked to have plenty on her plate having failed to get her head in front previously, she had shown signs of ability and could well go on to better things yet. A fourth behind Clowance was followed up by a run in Lingfield?s Oaks Trial where she got within ten lengths of Epsom heroine Look Here, and while she was turned over on the all-weather at a short price last time, connections feel that cut in the ground is the key to her. A step up into Group company is on the cards for her now, but wherever she goes - and how she gets on - will all be very much dependent on the ground.
Sell Out was doing her best work late on. She is another for who it is all about the ground.
The early leader Pentatonic usually races over further. Her rider tried to make it a test of stamina, and while she did not have the change of gears to go with them late on, she plugged on again when beaten, suggesting that a step back up in trip would be to her liking.
Jamboretta had excuses for her disappointing show last time out. She was always well off the pace here however and never really looked like landing a blow.
With a second to the Ribblesdale second followed by an easy win last time, much had been expected from Eswarah's half-sister Ghaidaa. Maybe the ground was not to her liking but on this limited evidence she is not a patch on her famous sibling.
