WINGED D'ARGENT relishes give underfoot and with conditions much more to his liking,he left behind his York run last time. Connections had hoped to have got him into the Plate again - a race he finished sixth in last year - but when it was evident he would not make they cut they redirected here. He looks the sort who will continue to win his fair share of races when things are right for him.
The form of Bollin Felix's last run is working out well. He was again doing his best work late on, and looks well suited by these longer trips.
Nero West took it up over two furlongs from home. There is a suspicion he needs to be able to dominate in order to be seen in his best light.
Hugs Destiny dropped away after racing prominent early on. The trip would have been at the top end of his compass, particularly in ground such as this.
Dr Sharp paid the price for winning the battle of the front-runners.
