Saxford made all, clear over 1f out, ridden right out

Raise All In held up on inside, steady headway over 2f out, went 2nd over 1f out, ran on, no chance with winner

Uramazin chased leaders, effort 3f out, hung right, weakened over 1f out

Full Of Nature tracked leaders, effort over 2f out, weakened approaching final furlong

Dubai´s Gazal chased leaders on outside, effort over 2f out, weakened over 1f out

Teneo Vestri chased winner, soon driven along, lost place 2f out and behind

A characteristically small field for one of these events, but an impressive win by SAXFORD, who was giving 5lb and upwards to all bar one of his rivals. Already gelded at this early stage in his career, he had previously shown his liking for this track, winning here on rain-softened ground over the minimum trip back in April, before chasing home a useful rival when stepped up to this distance last time. He was soon at the head of affairs and put the result to bed when kicking for home a long way out.He will now head for a Listed race at Newbury next week, and while he is sure to find things tougher there, he has done enough to earn a chance in that company.

Uramazin edged out Full Of Nature and Dubai's Gazal in the race for third, while there was a huge gap back to Teneo Vestri who rather unsurprisingly was always struggling here.
