Analyis of the race

As ever for a non-handicap seller, a wide range of abilities were on show, but the most talented horse in the race eventually won with plenty in hand. The horse in question, ROCKFIELD LODGE, is far from straightforward and had to be cajoled to victory by Neil Pollard, who restrained his mount when the stalls opened and then steered him on the most convoluted path possible after delaying his challenge for as long as possible.

Running between horses clearly energises the winner, who probably meritshis 74 rating and is more than good enough to score outside of plating company if tactics can be executed as perfectly as they were here.

Everythingelse was beaten a long way, with Where's Dids doing best of the rest by plodding on into fourth.
