The Nifty Fox held up in touch, headway 2f out, led inside final furlong, kept on well

Blazing Heights held up, headway over 1f out, kept on same pace inside final furlong
Rothesay Dancer held up, headway over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Hawaii Prince close up until ridden and weakened entering final furlong
Brut prominent, driven over 2f out, weakened inside final furlong
My Gacho missed break, behind, came to stands' side after 2f, never on terms
Ronnie Howe chased leaders to 2f out, soon struggling
From a stable in form THE NIFTY FOX just proved strongest in the closing stages, after there had been seven still in with a chance inside the last two furlongs. He had been hintingfor a while that his turn might be due again.
Kings College Boy, shouldering a 6lb penalty, is in great heart and up with the pace from the outset he could not quite cope with the winner, but he was clear of the third.
Blazing Heights was another to show a bit more sparkle than he has so far this term, while Rothesay Dancerlikes this course but was beaten some way in the end. He had been close enough if good enough and is better than the bare form.
Hawaii Prince, 1lb out of handicap, showed early pace but was found wanting when it mattered, while My Gacho was slowly away and could not get in a blow, but he is most effective over 6f anyway.
