Military Cross steadied start, held up in rear, switched outside and headway over 2f out, led well over 1f out, held on well inside final furlong, ridden out near finish
Orchard Supreme held up in rear, headway on far rail when not clear run 2f out, found gap and ridden to chase leading pair over 1f out, hung left final furlong, kept on
Hustle tracked leading pair, ridden and switched left over 2f out, challenged over 1f out, not quicken final 75yds
Mujood with leader until weakened well over 1f out
Officer soon led, headed and weakened well over 1f out
Prince Of Thebes in touch, ridden 3f out, soon weakened
Orchard Supreme, who was 17lb better off with the winner for a two-length defeat on the all-weather, may not have translated his rapid rise up the ratings on Polytrack back to turf but he again showed he has a decent prize in him on turf. He was again a bit too keen for his own good under restraint and the winner and third got first run on him wider out as he was finally unleashed up the inside rail into the final furlong, He quickened up well but then hung badly left towards his rivals. He still managed to split the useful pair and looks to have a turf rating to exploit and it would be no surprise if he popped up back at Goodwood.
