PROFITABILITY travelled well through the race but took time to pick up when faced with a battle with Deira Dubai. She went sharply left under pressure to close the chink of light Wusuul had as she tried to challenge between the pair. As such it was an unsatisfactory race but Profitability remains a progressive sort and threatens to get a bit further to eke out more improvement, which will be needed as she beat a 71-rated rival.
Deira Dubai had a net muzzle which was taken off in the prelims as it appeared to upset her. She was again keen through the race despite being dropped into the pack. She challenged strongly in the final 2f and was only just run out of it. She frustratingly remains a maiden.
Wusuul was mounting a challenge when having her path blocked. She had no time to recover, switched to the inside rail. This was a taking return after an absence of 280 days and she is a scopey filly, who can go on from this unlucky return.
While never threatening, Todber, another seasonal debutante and having her third run, Miss Clarice, who was slowly away and switched to the rail at the back before having to switch wider midtrack to get running room, and the very green World View, making her turf debut after two all-weather runs, should all build on the bare form.
La Famiglia raced with enthusiasm up with the pace and paid for it late, being eased when well held in the last furlong.
