Observatory Star held up, effort when not clear run over 2f out, switched right over 1f out, no impression inside final furlong
Motafarred midfield, driven and outpaced over 3f out, rallied final furlong, no impression
Vicious Warrior led to 3f out, no extra final 2f
Hartshead held up, pushed along over 2f out, never reached leaders
Countdown slowly into stride, behind, pushed along over 3f out, never dangerous
Ella Woodcock held up, ridden 3f out, never on terms

Summer Dancer took keen hold, held up, pushed along over 2f out, soon beaten

OSTEOPATHIC REMEDY took a nice lead and produced to lead inside the last, he ran on gamely. Although he is effective on quick ground, his trainer insists he prefers this surface. He is clearly in great nick.
Bold Marc, winner of this race last year, was unable to dictate the race. In the circumstances, he turned in a rock-solid effort, only being worried out of it by the winner inside the final furlong.
Rainbow Mirage, unproven over further than 7f, proved here that he stays at least this far, keeping on nicely after briefly being outpaced, and still going on at the finish.
Observatory Star, slightly tight for room going to the 2f pole, stayed on after being switched but then flattened out inside the last.
Motafarred was never nearer than at the line.
Hartshead, a previous winner of this race, was well held on ground softer than ideal.
Summer Dance never looked like getting into it after being held up, while Carlitos Spirit, also patiently ridden from off the pace, could never land a blow.
