SUZI'S DECISION got back to winning ways in determined fashion on this return to the shorter trip. She had found trouble in-running at Musselburgh last time when well backed, but found the race run to suit here and does look best kept to this trip in the short term. This was her best effort, and while another rise in the weights is now forthcoming, the best of her has probably still to be seen.
Berry Baby, 1lb out of the handicap, had run better than her finishing position suggested on her handicap bow last time and confirmed she is going the right way with a decent effort. She looks in need of a more positive ride as she was motoring home from off the pace and her turn does not look far off.
Lush showed much improved form on this switch to handicap company and finished nicely clear of the remainder in third. She got the longer trip and can build on this.
Black Dahlia, penalised for winning at Doncaster, may have benefited from a more positive ride as she failed to quicken when it mattered. This was still another respectable effort, and she helps to setthe level of this form.
La Columbina had her chance from the front and kept on when eventually headed, but again left the impression she would enjoy a step up to a stiffer test.
Kempton maiden winner Ever Rigg, making her turf and handicap debut, also falls into that category as she could not hold her position from the furlong marker. She is still open to further improvement.
