A high draw was an advantage and PYRRHA, drawn 12, quickly came over to the near rail and ultimately ran out a clearcut winner, confirming the promise of her debut second at Yarmouth. She was in front long enough here, looking to idle a touch, and can be rated value for further than the bare margin suggests. A filly with scope, she should improve again forthis experience and it will be interesting to see where she goes next. Another furlong should also be within her range.
Qalahari, pipped on her debut at Bath, was unable to go with the winner when she went for home. This was another solid effort and she should not be long in finding an opening, but a move to one of the smaller tracks could be a wise move.
Blue Arctic ran close to the level of her debut form with the winner and turned in another respectable effort. She is one for nurseries, but should win a maiden at one of the smaller tracks.
Rioliina, a half-sister to her stable's 6f juvenile winner Cheap Street, proved too green to do herself justice on this debut. She will be sharper for the run.
Oscar Silk, a half-sister to a 1m winner in Italy, looked better the further she went and posted a fair debut. She will get further and ought to improve for the experience.
There was support for Our Day Will Come, who is out of a dam who was useful over further, yet she never looked like getting into the race from off the pace. She was not helped by having to race wide, and her rider was not hard on her when her fate became apparent.
