MISTER JINGLES, from a yard in fine form, made the most of his good draw and showed battling qualities to open his seasonal account. He can probably win again now he has struck form.
March Mate continues to run well in defeat and missed out only in a bobbing finish. His turn will surely come soon.
Northern Boy made a spirited bid but weakened late on, while Tough Love never reached a challenging position.
Avontuur, up in trip, missed the break more than usual and could never get into it.
