Most of these are fully-exposed all-weather horses, but BENTLEY appears to have benefited from a recent step up to 7f - which coincided with his move to James Given - and he followed up a recent second on the turf with this battling win. He scored off a 7lb higher mark early last year, so there may well be more to come from him.

All You Need, well-treated on his best form of last season but disappointing this term, most recently when a well-backed favourite last time, was lit up by a first-time visor on this occasion but did just a bit too much in the first half of the race and that cost him late on. If the visor continues to work for him and he can be held onto a little longer, then he should be able to win off his present mark.

Guildenstern, who had run an excellent second here last time, could not reproduce the form on this occasion and is a difficult horse to catch right. He had ended a long losing run when scoring at Kempton in February buthas had to settle for three seconds since.
