Elhamri stumbled soon after start, chased leaders, went 2nd over 3f out, every chance and ridden 2f out, led just over 1f out, headed and kept on same pace inside final furlong
Magic Glade taken down early, led until 4f out, chased leaders after, ridden and kept on same pace from over 1f out
Almaty Express chased leader until led 4f out, ridden 2f out, headed just over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Style Award behind on outer, struggling and ridden halfway, modest late headway, never dangerous
Garstang dwelt, took keen hold and soon chasing leaders, ridden and tried to challenge over 1f out, weakened just inside final furlong
Halsion Chancer in rear, ridden and effort 2f out, never dangerous
Having been waited with he found himself further back and wider than had been intended, but he came with a terrific run up the outer to lead well inside the final furlong and win going away. The form looks all right, because he beat three rivals who have all been running well, headed by Safari Mischief, who was an excellent third in Epsom's Dash last time and had no excuse here.
Elhamri, who returned without his off-hind shoe, was up there from the start and ran well too, finishing clear of Magic Glade and front-runner Almaty Express.
Liam Keniry reported that Halsion Chancer was never travelling. Ryan Moore reported that Style Award resented the kickback.
