Victoria Reel held up in touch, chased winner over 2f out, ridden over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong but always held

Addiena led, headed over 4f out, ridden over 2f out, one pace

Barliffey held up, headway over 3f out, ridden over 2f out, one pace

Trireme took keen hold in rear, pushed along over 3f out, never near leaders

Street Devil pulled hard, chased leader over 3f, ridden and weakened over 2f out, broke blood vessel

Danjoe prominent until ridden and weakened over 3f out, tailed off

A maiden that looked there for the taking for Victoria Reel following two placed efforts at Goodwood, but LIGHT FROM MARS had obviously not read the script as he kept finding more when the favourite challenged.

The winner was better suited by the quicker conditions he encountered here rather than the softish surface he had raced on twice previously. On this evidence he looks a progressive three-year-old in the context of this race and can expect a mark of early to mid 80s from the handicapper.

Addiena is up for a mark now and might benefit from a bit further, while Barliffey is rated 75 but has had quite a few chances now and may not be straightforward.
