Bahar Shumaal chased leader 3f, led over 2f out, edged right and headed over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, ran on well
Den´s Gift led, ridden and headed over 2f out, rallied to lead over 1f out, headed and unable to quicken inside final furlong
The Fifth Member prominent, ridden over 2f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
Jo´Burg slowly into stride and hampered start, effort over 2f out, not trouble leaders
Baizically held up in touch, ridden and hampered over 2f out, hung right and weakened over 1f out
Dado Mush held up, raced keenly, ridden and weakened over 3f out
Clipperdown slowly into stride and hung left start, headway to chase leader 5f out, ridden, hung left and weakened over 2f out
Bahar Shumaal has front-run in many of his races and has tended to go off rather too fast on occasions, but the plan here was to get a lead and Den's Gift provided that for him. He was picked off readily enough in the end and, now that Bahar Shumaal has got back on the winning trail there may be more races to be won with him, though he might find problems if he competes in a race that does not have a confirmed front-runner.
Den's Gift has been running consistently all year, but the handicapper does seem to have his measure at present and, as he continues to perform creditably, he can expect little relief for now.
Baizically, who has been tried at up to 2m, had his limitations of pace well exposed in the straight, while both Dado Mush (probably best on easy ground) and Clipperdown ran well below their best.
