AJMAN broke well and was always in the first three, didn't do anything particularly special, but just stuck at it out in front to ward off a number of challengers. A horse that has come back from nearly being put down six months ago, winning a race can be safely called a fair achievement.
Of the first three, Windmill Lass was probably the most unlucky. Travelling well in mid-division, she didn't appear at ease on a couple of the sharp bends and suddenly came off the bridle on trying to negotiate the second-last bend. From there she stayed on well and only went down by half a length.
Drunken Sailor more or lesslost his race by losing a few lengths at the start. He couldn't get into a proper challenging position really and appeared to meet with some interference over half a mile out. He was keeping on strongly in the straight to be never nearer. He looks like ahorse that would have little difficulty in getting a bit further.
Rebel Aclaim led or was close to the pace for most of the journey. He was certainly close enough if good enough before the straight and just kept on at the one pace from there.
