Coill Aileach always in rear, pulled up before line, injured
Trainer Noel Meade said of the winner: "He made a mistake early on at Killarney, which didn't help him, but he seems to handle quick ground and I'd imagine he will be kept on the go."
The God Of Love, a four-time winner on the Flat with a rating of 99 and making his hurdling debut on his first start for Philip Rothwell, raced prominently and jumped to the front three out. Joined approaching the final hurdle, he jumped that flight in front and only just gave best.
Tobar Na Gloc ran his best race on what was his first outing since December. Soon in touch, he made a mistake three out and was unable to make any impact thereafter.
Keoghs Tradbar, close up when falling four out in a 2m6f event at Navan on his previous start, made the running until three out, before weakening quickly, whileMexican Onyx was prominent until falling at the fifth hurdle. (TOH)
