Commemoration Day in touch, ridden to lead approaching 2 out, kept on well when challenged 2 out, in command run-in
Pilca held up, hampered 6th, headway 4 out, went 2nd to challenge approaching 2 out, every chance until weakened run-in
Ohana in touch, went 2nd 6th, led 4 out, ridden and headed approaching 2 out, soon weakened
Go Free pulled hard, tracked leader, hit 7th, soon weakened
Notre Cyborg held up in rear, slightly hampered 6th, effort 4 out, soon beaten
Trampoline King led until headed and mistake 9th, weakened soon after
Allez Frank tracked leaders until fell 6th
This beginners' chase was open with all barring one having some sort of chance but they went a fast pace in the early stages which resulted in not many of them getting home and they broke the courserecord by almost four seconds, which means that the going was not far off hard.
COMMEMORATION DAY had struggled in handicap company last time but found this much more his level as he readily came clear. He obviously has his limitations but acts onthis sort of ground and might well be up to winning again over the summer.
Ohana needed this outing to get a mark over fences and there might be a weak handicap in him along the way.
Go Free did himself no favours by being really free in the early stages and needs to learn to settle better.
