Black Anshan made all, reminders and clear approaching 3 out, ridden and idled flat, ran on
St Mellion Freeway held up, soon mid-division, headway approaching 7th, ridden when mistake 2 out, mistake last, stayed on to take 2nd towards finish, not trouble winner
Alfie´s Isle held up in touch, chased winner after 8th, ridden approaching 2 out, not fluent last, no extra and lost 2nd towards finish
Time To Panic jumped left, held up and behind, mistakes 1st and 4th, never near leaders
Desert Soul held up towards rear, some headway 7th, weakened after 9th
Shammy Buskins chased winner until ridden after 8th, weakened after 9th
High Ball always in rear, tailed off 8th
Mantle Of Gold in rear, mistake 4th, soon lost touch, tailed off when pulled up before 9th
Have A Shot chased leaders until weakened approaching 7th, behind when pulled up before 8th
Alasoun held up in touch, weakened approaching 3 out, no chance when pulled up before last
Lynford Noora always in rear, tailed off when pulled up before 7th
Dr Moss in touch, jumped slowly and lost place 2nd, tailed off when pulled up before 7th
St Mellion Freeway changed hands for E19,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point last month and he made a pleasing debut under rules, staying on to secure second on the run-in. He looks to have plenty of stamina.
Alfie's Isle is another former pointer, who was runner-up on his debut between the flags in March but had pulled up on his next two starts. He was by no means disgraced on this debut under rules but may need to improve if he is to get off the mark.
Alasoun, a recent winner of a Flat seller, was another who failed to hurdle fluently on his hurdles debut.
