KINFAYRE BOY was top of that particular list, racing from 10lb out of the handicap and unplaced in 12 previous outings over hurdles, but he is a quirky sort according to his trainer and he put his best foot forward with things set up for him here, the leader dashing clear from three out and giving him a target - he went second two out and came through to lead on the run-in for a narrow success. He may not be one to rely upon entirely but this showed what he is capable of on a going day.
Fitting a tongue-tie seemed to help Moyne Pleasure, who ran much his best race of the season, ahead of Coronado's Gold, who ran creditably, and Errol, who may not have got home on this step back up in trip.
