Granary tracked leaders, effort over 1f out, kept on same pace inside final furlong
Onatopp prominent, shaken up over 4f out, effort on inside over 1f out, kept on same pace
Malinsa Blue with leaders on outer, took keen hold, driven 3f out, outpaced over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong
The Hoofer chased leaders, outpaced over 2f out, soon lost place and behind
Analyis of the race
Nothing very progressive on show here. LUCK WILL COME had been raised 2lb for her second at Great Leighs last time, and she justified it with a game effort. It remains to be seen how much more improvement she has in her, though trainer Hugh Collingridge hopes to find some by stepping her up to around 1m2f later in the season.
Flying Time stays 1m2f and, with nothing keen to go on, was forced to cut out her own pace to ensure the race did not develop into a sprint. She did not give up without a fight, but is proving difficult to win with.
Granary has not been able to build on the promise of her second here in April and seemed anchored by top weight.
