Desert Sunset was squeezed out at the start when fourth on her Haydock debut, but she had no such problems here andran a solid race. She should soon be winning in this grade.
Mutually Mine, a promising fifth on her Newcastle debut in a race which is working out well, was well backed and set out to make all. There was no disgrace in her failure and an ordinary maiden should be within her range.
Gassal was a fair third at Folkestone, but failed to improve in first-time blinkers and was eased when all chance had gone in the last 150 yards. The ground at Folkestone was on the soft side, and perhaps this quick going was against her.
