Analyis of the race

Plenty hard to fancy on recent evidence in this modest three-year-old sprint handicap so probably the easiest opportunity to date for the lowly-rated URSUS, who had been tried over 1m on his handicap debut but did better on this drop back in trip andconfirmed the smidgeon of promise he had shown earlier in his career, soon in touch and keeping on to lead close home. The second is probably a fair yardstick so there is no reason to think this was anything other than a solid effort by the winner.

Kyzer Chief was second for the fourth time in a row but did little wrong, leading from halfway until near the finish - he could not be described as unexposed but is certainly up to winning a modest sprint off this mark.
