Birkside prominent, ridden to lead well over 1f out, edged left inside final furlong, ran on well
Record Breaker led to well over 1f out, rider dropped reins inside final furlong, kept on near finish
Acropolis prominent, effort over 2f out, one pace over 1f out
Night Hour took keen hold, chased leader, effort over 2f out, one pace over 1f out
Gordonsville took keen hold, held up in last, effort over 2f out, kept on, never able to challenge
Gray Mountain dwelt, held up, headway and close up halfway, ridden and weakened over 2f out, eased when no chance final furlong
Record Breaker tried to burn them off from the front but was headed by the winner well over a furlong out. Despite being switched and renewing his challenge towards the finish, the bird had flown.
Night Hour was a shade keen early doors and held a prominent position until fading from two furlongs out. He's also better given easier conditions.
