Tumbleweed Di dwelt, soon mid-division, stayed on final furlong
Recent Times soon outpaced in rear, kept on final 2f, not reach leaders
Violet´s Pride mid-division, driven over 2f out, hung left, never troubled leaders
High Window soon outpaced in rear, kept on final 2f, never a factor
Jabraan slowly into stride, in rear until kept on final furlong
Cryptic Clue soon clear lead, weakened and headed over 1f out
Keeparryappy chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, lost place over 1f out
LE TOREADOR promised to be a cut above this level as a juvenile and was among the least exposed sprinters in this line-up. He appears still to be improving judged on the way he did this, leading inside the final 1f and always looking like holding on, and as he should not be hit too hard by the handicapper for a narrow defeat of this uninspiring assortment he would have fair prospects of following up in ordinary company.
The Cube looks the sort who needs things to drop just right and, after leading over 1f out, he hung left and was headed inside the final 1f. Thrice-raced Tangerine Trees kept on for third and is sufficiently lightly raced to encourage the belief that there is probably better still to come.
