Ezdeyaad led, well clear after 2f, pushed out final furlong, unchallenged
Just Bond held up going well, headway to chase winner just inside final furlong, finished well, not reach winner
Chicken George chased leaders, kept on same pace final furlong
King Fingal in rear, headway over 2f out, stayed on same pace
Aussie Blue held up, effort 3f out, went 2nd over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Kaymich Perfecto chased leaders, lost place over 1f out
Bailieborough soon chasing leaders on outer, driven over 3f out, lost place 2f out
Gee Ceffyl Bach took keen hold, tracked leaders, weakened 2f out
Just Bond was the only other one to get into it, travelling well and moving into second place inside the final 1f, closing on the winner late on but never looking like reeling him in. His jockey was banned for riding an ill-judged race but in truth it was the entire field who allowed the winner an easy lead, not just him. Whatever the merits of the case, Just Bond had also run a good second at York on his previous start and is up to winning off his current mark.
Kaymich Perfecto remains out of form, while Bailieborough was again below his best. The ground may have been too firm for Gee Ceffyl Bach.
