Ollie George led until headed 2f out, rallied and battled back to lead well inside final furlong, held on
Fregate Island tracked leaders, ridden to lead 2f out, headed well inside final furlong but kept on to press winner
Formax held up in rear, headway over 3f out, ridden and stayed on from over 1f out, never nearer
Shela House held up, headway 3f out, switched right over 2f out, every chance inside final furlong, no extra towards finish
Bandama mid-division, effort over 3f out, ridden and one pace from over 1f out
Lepido held up, effort 3f out, soon beaten
Swan Queen tracked leader until ridden and weakened 2f out
Tusculum in touch until lost place 5f out, steadily weakened, tailed off
Fregate Island had not got home over 2m last time but saw this out well and was possibly unlucky to be picked up again by the winner after looking to have done enough.The handicapper is bound to dish out the usual few pounds for getting beaten, but there is one of these in him at some stage.
Shela House probably did not get home over this longer trip.
