Analyis of the race

A truly run affair for this handicap but one or two hard-luck stories along the way. However, it was a sterling effort from PARAGUAY to come from last to first with a sweeping surge down the outside. His previous win at the course was on soft ground over a furlong further but connections consider this mile is his right trip.He is bound to be upped again for this success and things will get harder, but he looks a different horse since undergoing remedies for ulcers.

Follow The Flag is now 9lb higher than when winning his two races on the sand and he had every chance. There might be one of these events in him.

Onenightinlisbon is also due to go up another 5lb for his sand win but he also failed to get a trouble- free passage and is a bit better than this return to turf suggests.
