Easibet Dot Net held up, headway on inner over 2f out, ridden to lead well over 1f out, soon edged left, driven and headed inside final furlong, kept on under pressure, just held

Asrar in rear, headway over 2f out, ridden to chase leaders over 1f out, kept on same pace entering final furlong

Stravonian close up, led halfway, ridden along 3f out, driven and headed well ov er 1f out, still close up whan hampered over 1f out, soon weakened

Act Sirius led to halfway, closed up, ridden 2f out and every chance until hampered over 1f out and soon weakened

He may have been a bit busy but DIRECTA'S DIGGER is a willing individual and he dug very deep to defy a penalty and make it three wins from five starts with nothing to spare. Although this was a moderate affair he may still have some more to offer after a break.

They did not go much of a pace in this marathon test, but that seemed to suit Easibet Dot Net and he ran a cracker, making the winner pull out all the stops. The pair had a bit of a barging match which on balance did not affect the result. However he was 2lb out of the handicap and in theory that cost him the race.

Stravonian carried 4lb overweight and showed a little bit more than of late.

Act Sirius wants an easier surface than he encountered here.
