Flying Bantam prominent, led and edged left over 1f out, held on well final furlong
Flores Sea led to halfway, rallied, ridden and every chance over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong
Esoterica pulled hard, prominent, no room from over 2f out, effort and close third when hampered inside final furlong, not recover
Distant Sun held up, ridden over 2f out, headway over 1f out, kept on final furlong
Abbondanza took keen hold, held up, headway over 1f out, ran on final furlong
H Harrison close up, led halfway to over 1f out, weakening when hampered inside final furlong
Red Romeo tracked leaders, ridden when not clear run over 1f out, 4th and keeping on when clipped heels, stumbled badly and unseated rider inside final furlong
Flores Sea led early and was still right in the mix all the way to the line. This was one of his better recent efforts on turf.
Esoterica was the real hard luck story of the race as he was running away on the inside but never saw any daylight. He would surely have gone close with clear passage.
Abbondanza was one of those unsuited by the slowpace and never really got competitive.
Red Romeo was angling for a run one off the far rail when clipping the heels of Flores Sea. It gave his jockey and nasty fall from which he was lucky to eventually walk away.
